The protected lagoons of Baja California Sur are one of the most important sanctuaries for the Pacific gray whales. Every winter, these awe-inspiring animals migrate thousands of miles from the icy Arctic waters to the calm, shallow bays of Baja — to mate, give birth, and nurture their newborn calves. The warm lagoons create a truly unique environment, offering one of the most extraordinary close-up whale encounters in the world.
A truly unique experience worldwide: only here do gray whales approach the boats with such curiosity, often coming so close that you can almost touch them. These playful and incredibly gentle whales actively seek interaction with humans. Together with local fishermen in small panga boats, we'll embark on a total of eight whale excursions over four days in the heart of this UNESCO-protected lagoon ecosystem.

Hi, I'm Claudia. I'm from Germany and have always been completely in love with Mexico. I've been working as a Spanish and English interpreter since 2017 and have been offering coaching sessions since 2019.
In 2024, I saw humpback whales in Baja for the very first time. From that moment on, I knew: everyone should experience this at least once in their life. I had never felt such a deep connection before. That experience shifted something in me — and it inspired me to create a space for others to feel this too. That's how Magic Whale Encounters in Mexico was born.
This journey is an invitation to step into the vastness of the ocean and encounter whales in their natural habitat — guided by presence, stillness, and a deep connection with nature. It's a journey that takes you outward into the wild beauty of the sea, while also bringing you closer to yourself.
This healing experience takes place in a remote and largely untouched region of Baja California Sur, far away from busy tourist areas and with limited access to medical facilities. That remoteness is part of what makes this experience so special — it allows you to fully disconnect from everyday noise and reconnect with nature in a more direct and meaningful way.
Our time together includes days on the open ocean and encounters with wildlife in their natural environment. The ocean, the weather, and the animals move according to their own rhythms — not ours.
This is not a traditional tourist trip, but an intentionally curated experience designed in harmony with nature. You are invited to move through the journey with mindfulness, self-awareness, and respect for your own boundaries, as well as the guidance shared by the facilitators, local captains, and whale guides.
Whale encounters happen entirely on the whales' terms and can never be forced or guaranteed. Every moment shared with them is a gift — spontaneous, wild, and deeply humbling.
Beyond the outer adventure across the ocean, this experience is also an invitation into stillness, reflection, and a deeper connection with your own inner voice and intuition. While many participants experience the journey as deeply transformative, it is not intended to replace medical, psychological, or therapeutic treatment.
Your space on the journey is officially reserved once the deposit has been received. The remaining balance is due prior to departure. Cancellation policies with partial refunds apply within specific timeframes and are intended to create a fair and transparent structure for everyone involved.
This journey is an invitation to reconnect with life in its most natural and elemental form — through the ocean, the whales, and your connection to yourself. Come with openness. Come with curiosity. Come fully present.
